I’m sure you’ve heard the name before, it’s been everywhere since it was launched last year! Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm, giving kids and kids at heart a great little introduction to AR games.
It’s also given people a reason to get up and go outside! It’s gaming but with the sneaky side effect of making you exercise to play it!
What other AR games are there out there? What does everyone play?
Yeah I tried it for a while and it was pretty fun tbh. We need something like for VR that will get the whole world interested!
I played Pokemon Go when it released and here in our place it’s really a famous. I saw a lot of people using their mobile phones and catching Pokemon especially on Pokestop. It was a great game! What made me quit on playing this game are the hacks that give so much advantage to other players. I know people who use VPN cheat that’s why I am really disappointed and lose the will to play.
Right now, the AR that I am playing is Zombies, Run! I really love zombies!
Has anyone played any other AR games? I was looking at them earlier today but it seems like my iphone is too old to run them unfortunately.

Pokemon Go was fun at the beginning, I got bored with the mechanics. It would require you to travel a lot if you don’t live in a big city (me, sadly) so the fact I was getting tens of the same type of Pokemon. It’s literally all fun and games, but then winter comes, you don’t own a car and you have already caught all the types available in your neighborhood.
But I am keen to try more games like that because the idea itself is great. And it did make people go outside!

Yes, there is some kind of App that you can use to change your location. I don’t know if it’s still available though I haven’t played it for years and my friends also quit playing after… Maybe they already blocked the hack. I hope so.
Ugh, that was to be expected because it requires working and some gamers are, well, lazy… I hope they blocked it, can anyone confirm?

We need another AR game that will take pokemon go up a level. I think Apple’s AR kit will help developers with some cool games.
I think there were some plans to make a Harry Potter themed game in style of Pokemon Go, but I’m not sure it worked out. I wasn’t closely following the subject, there is some Harry Potter game that is a bit new but I’m pretty sure it’s from a different developer. But I don’t think as many people would be into HP version as they were in the Pokemon.

That would be awesome. I am a fan of Harry Potter and I think will be a hit in market. However, I don’t know what kind of gameplay they will gonna do. No matter how it takes, I am gonna play it …
Same! Harry Potter has a lot of potential for VR /MR/AR and generally open world games. I think even just some VR tours of Hogwarts or other places from the movies would be great! People love Harry Potter and even those not interested in VR would probably want to at least try it out. It would be a great tool for making the whole technology more popular.
There was this hack that I heard of wherein you can change your location so you can simply get the pokemon that you want even if it is not present in your neighborhood. That dude got caught for having a Pokemon that is supposedly be available only thousand of miles from his home. I read it in some news way back then.
That thing is not working for a long time now. Niantic is doing their best to remove all the cheaters from the game.
So…anyone here playing Pokemon or not? I could use some new friends (from Australia preferably)
